Have heard Kilo middle section will be finished...

Have heard Kilo middle section will be finished in a week or so but work is planned in the northern section straight after lasting for several weeks so through route probably open early December.

Thanks Dave - When the 09R/27L works were being carried out last summer and traffic levels increased didn't they operate dual until 2000hrs then revert to single ?

Only when planned movement levels dictate. I seem to remember from the first lockdown a figure of 450 - 500 daily movements was the trigger. Even then dual ops may only be for part of the day.

Yes - during the first lockdown 09R/27L was closed permanently for a few weeks to carry out significant maintenance. Now that work is complete it is routine maintenance on whichever runway is closed...
