As I recall using the rapid start system limited the starter motor/turbine to only seven starts (or something similar - sure someone can put an exact figure on it) before it was lifex. Bit of a no go...

Fully agree with what you say, but no aircraft of that era were very easy to work on, however there was some inter trade fun to be had, I remember the HEIU cables were routed over the top...
