how many Captains you think EK needs? EK has almost 800 pilots now and they upgrade fast track guys, so if you are not fast track you will get bypassed big time and when you have your 3 years...

Just keep in mind that you will be on a F/O salary for a at least 7 years, if they keep expanding, as a F/O with family it's almost impossible to save some money.
Dubai is an expensive place.
