ps: more realistically, if the CoG of the door plug in the closed position is of the order of 15...

You are forgetting that the door/plug cannot move...

You are forgetting that the door/plug cannot move past the 12 stop pads unless it first moves upwards. If the two bottom locking bolts were in place, such upward movement should have been impossible....
