It's way too early to talk of blame and such talk un-nerves future passengers from flying.

As an aviation forum we must be aware that it's corrective actions that count towards calming passengers....

With today's engines the majority of the rain is centrifuged by the fan or diverged behind the fan to not pass through the engine innards....

I tend to see lift but little rotation and no engine pops or spool downs

Lots of possibilities to be explored

Agree .. but to get that far from an expected V1...

Agree .. but to get that far from an expected V1 decision point it would seem that he had to be going pretty damn fast as an overrun.

Of course like any accident it doesn't add up until the facts...
