Cocerning the latest eruption looking at the upper winds between FL 100 and FL240 I would expect this one to track over Scotland (maybe skirting Northern Ireland) and then track east to Scandinavia....

Notivce the ash maps say no significant ash risk above FL 350 - so are NATS allowing overflights above that level and, if not, why not? Ok I suppose emergency descent is a possibility?
