If cruising at 500 ft agl with that load even an old S76A would keep cruising. A C model has more grunt, so I'm surprised if it was only a single engine failure & the pilots couldn't fly away or find...

As Terminus says an engine failure in the cruise...

As Terminus says an engine failure in the cruise with such a light load shouldn't be a problem. Even the original S76 A in 1978 with 14 on board flew perfectly well on one engine.:confused:
