HC - Thanks and didnt take it that you were saying CFITW - just asking that with those sequence of events it includes CFITW rather than rules it out. Either way I hope they find out the cause sooner...

HeliC - If it was CFITW then what would explain the reduction in airspeed and the sudden loss of height. If they are 3 miles out what sort of altitude would they normally be at.

Question for those who fly in that area after seeing the Shetland news photos.

Is it significant the gear is down or would they have lowered it on approach to their home base. Just wondering.

AS332L2 Ditching off Shetland: 23rd August 2013

Does anyone know if the crew got out and if there were EC people Onboard. Thoughts are with families and friends of those missing. Hope they find them.
