Subwoofers on ULBs

As was mentioned somewhere way back lower frequency sounds require bigger speakers. A "subwoofer" pinger assembly would almost certainly not meet ULB ruggedness criteria due to the physics of scale....

My original point was that the Malaysian perceived threat of a terrorist attack of any sort was low. And an airborne attack on the Petronas...

Satcom units commonly have GPS units built into them. Seems like sending frequent live GPS updates would be trivial and inexpensive.

SMS text messages on GSM networks are ridiculously low...
