Under what circumstance, does Emirates not hire you with regards to medicals?

Anyone know of a case where someone didn't get through based on their medicals?

I received the GC on Saturday (3days ago) and my online portal hasn't opened. It still reads 'you'll be contacted'. Anyone know how long it usually takes to re-open? They still haven't...
