Yes it is very customary for Airbus to issue such a bulletin. They often get many people asking "why did they say that?"
However when the investigators' reports come out the pieces of the puzzle...

Let's not overlook the fact that various interested parties, especially Airbus, will be provided with a copy of the FDR data very quickly.

In the past, if Airbus finds an aircraft-related issue...
