Depends what they think will pay better. The regular companies struggling to meet the demand means rates go up and maybe they can make adequate returns on the VIP market and become the first choice...

The SEN to Bucharest flight departs 10 mins...

The SEN to Bucharest flight departs 10 mins before the Gatwick to Bucharest does. Maybe both will run but seems unlikely and I’d guess SEN will be the loser.

On LinkedIn the SEN team have been at Routes conference so it does seem like they are trying. They recently posted that Carlyle Aviation had been joining them so perhaps that will open some more...

The average person isn’t looking for random flights. They are looking for the flight they know their relative is on or they know they will take. The Heathrow departure board doesn’t show all flights....

I doubt that many people care. Nearly everyone I know - even my 80 year old grandparents check Flightradar24 before coming to collect us. I can’t remember the last time I visited an airport website...

I doubt it. These flights have been moved around a fair bit. They’ve tried MAN, STN, BHX, BRS and even operating a route from DUB. SOU probably offered a decent deal, and it’s a fairly wealthy area...
