There certainly was luck here

Given the uncertainties over the mechanics of the build up to failure, no reason to suppose it couldn't have happened 30 seconds earlier. The crew must have nightmares about that.

could anyone advise what the response of the a/c would have been had the blockage(s) suddenly cleared ? Would power start to increase to the freed engine(s) ?
