Just don't try it on a line check or check ride. I think restricting cockpit visibility would be frowned at. Sunscreen and a sleeve might be more FAA friendly.

The aircraft windows offer little if any protection from the sun. My left forearm with considerable skin damage vs right with none and remembering the heat on my left forearm during flight proves it...
