Probably trademarked so everyone has to use its own abbreviation.

Europe, or rather EU-OPS allows CAT IIIa to be flown manually. Thats how those CRJs do it for example, but you can have it on nearly every kind of airliner nowadays, you just need a HUGS for it,...
