Remember we are talking about off design geometry following a flap failure.

Braking is permitted at main wheel touchdown. At high nose attitudes there is still lots of lift even with spoiler so not much weight on the wheels. Hence higher pitch longer landing...

You don't often increase flap without a concurrent decrease in speed.

With Slats thrown into the mix things get more tricky.
A good example is the Flap Fail/ Slat Fail procedure on the Ejets....
