How will ATC work? Will the instructions come from them in the form of a data package that uploads to the FMS via satellite uplink? If that is the case will the FMS pick up ATC errors like pilots do...

If it is safety then the focus should not be on removing the pilot, but on developing the technology alongside.
If the motivation is financial then I can think of a lot...
