Please-please-please, this is not a radar altimeter it is a radio altimeter and the autopilot does not control engine speed, the autothrottle does this.

I have seen some hint of people complaining of the lack of cc helping with the evacuation of the pax in this accident. Considering two would be in the very front between the cabin and flight deck...
