Thanks for your comments. Makes sense now as they refused any sort of compensation i.e. lounge passes, upgrades, by blaming the weather. Not much can be done other than take the alternative, claim...

BA fake weather forecast?

BA235 LHR-DMR on Sunday 5th March cancelled due to "forecast high winds". I can't find any forecast to substantiate this claim. Max 18kts gust is the closest I can get on the 5 days!!
