I think the problem (for Maurice) is that he's in prison for breaching a restraining order - but keeps arguing his innocence using irrelevant (old) arguments (machine guns, mental illness etc.).

Actually no - he was difficult (and his aircraft navigation solutions inoperative) but I wanted to get him to CT if possible. In the end, it was not possible with us but perhaps he can do it...

To repeat, there is absolutely no question that ALL of his paperwork was in order before the Rally. Fairly obvious and simple baseline that we needed from all crews before they could be accepted.
