Pilot recruitment is really hard to predict. You can use historical data to measure the attrition rate due to lost medicals, people jumping ship to other carriers etc but it's only a best...

I'd like to know how many women applied and how many were shortlisted just because I'm curious. BA made a big attempt to get more women to apply so I would hope a higher % than in previous years did....

Stage 1 -> 2998
Stage 2 - > 300
Stage 3 -> 140
Stage 4 -> 85

Can't remember the numbers exactly for stage 2 and 3 but...

From memory, there are 72 places this year with a small number allocated to a standby list. When I attended the CTC...

At CTC we were told 100 from each school would be put forward (i.e. 300 total). There is no 'quota' that needs to be filled for each school so in theory the picked 72 could all be from one school...

The reasoning behind BA's request to do more tests is to ensure everyone is measured on an even playing field. The 3 flying schools have tended to do their own 'in-house' testing...

Applied at the end of Nov and got an email around 1730.

CTC assessment dates are 8/9/10 January. Who knows if there are any more that haven't been uploaded.

A nice early Christmas present....
