Exactly, I got my 1st one done in KUL precovid. Great way to see another country. Hotels and food are cheap as well in KUL/BKK.

Stop learning how to fly in Australia. Just pack your bags up, go to US flight schools with F1 visa, instruct to get 1500 hrs to get into regionals. Whilst doing so, keep applying...

And no, ATPL is not equivalent to a 4 years degree. I don't know who came up with this idea that ATPL theories are equivalent to 4 years worth of studies at tertiary education institutions.

US operators don't care if you already have type ratings. One must do the whole training program even if you are already rated.

Overseas ICAO type ratings don't mean anything to FAA as they are...

As for Atlas Air, when the union has been trying to get a better contract and the management wants to use E-3 as an anti-union thing, E-3 guys at Atlas will probably be treated as scabs.
