Thats a good thing, but seems strange, how can you ( i mean collectively speaking) hold it for a class 2 but not class1 , its a vision test.
Seems very odd, no ?

That makes no sense to me, a low hours cvd will...

That makes no sense to me, a low hours cvd will never get to be a high hours cvd in the UK where as a cvd pilot with 19000 hours in the USA cant get a medical in the UK, its very relevant.
