In USA, you could pass both CPL and ATPL. As long as you have 20/20 corrected. You can be blind without your glasses, it doesn't matter. Same for Australia, Pakistan and some other...

David, I ve read on one US website (i cant remeber it) that there are waivers, who have vision corrected to 20/80 and still can fly.
I dont thing that 20/30 will be a big problem.

In some Eastern european countries it is hard to get a class 1 even with small corection..... I guess Americans' are much more relaxed. You can even get
class 3 if you are deaf.

on landings.com, i found out that FAA 1st and 2nd medical req. are
minus or plus 5 Diopters. So, what are the actual FAA uncorrected, or diopter req. for 1st, and 2nd med. class?...
