Is it a function of elevator load?

Or is it just a spring rod, no matter if the aircraft is in a stall or at 340 knots?

This accident wouldn't have happened in e.g. 727 just of the feeling on the elevator.

AND

it would not have happened with a reliable stall warning,...

Concerning the "zoom climb", could have A/P and/ or pilots received an "overspeed condition", which in turn traded speed to height, according relevant law?
