I agree with Barbies

An awful situation to find oneself in, but nevertheless basic attitude + power should have seen them through the airspeed issue.

The stall warning should have alerted the PF to the situation. ...

We are where we are. Ticket prices decide what level of training Pilots receive - if you want 8 sims a year the the pax have to pay for it - unfortunately most of the SLF seem to be quite happy...
