Summer 2024

It looks like they are reducing flights.

BHX''s 12th aircraft original all season then reduced to July & August appears to disappear Sunday, Monday & Wednesday and I suspect Tuesday will be...

787's

Don't be so sure. 3 x 787's sat all day on the 80's at BHX on Monday and never moved, obviously one was damaged so you can't count that but again a 789 has been on the ground 27 hours now at BHX...

Aircraft Types

One website shows aircraft type, you can fill in the gaps.......:) www.g**g**fl*****.co.u* although it doesn't go as far as identifying the 788 and 789 flights but a dummy booking on the TUI site can...

MLB

Even more impressive for NCL the 787 stays all summer operating MLB & CUN throughout unlike BHX that has lost a 787 and one of the ones that stays goes elsewhere for a month reducing Melbourne to...

787

I can only comment from BHX and the 788/789 seems to have been no different to any other aircraft tech wise and most issues seem to revolve around delays (various reasons) and the knock on effects on...

Coaches

Coaches can be found very easily if the airline really wants to and although a different scenario as it is at the UK end but ask the passengers on the Burgas - BHX flight 24 hours late and now...

The Burgas which has been coached away for a 15:00 departure from Manchester is now showing 18:00 on a Privilege Style B772 which operated MAN-RHO-MAN arriving back in the early hours and clearly the...

Bhx

It doesn’t get any better, the Zante has already been pushed back again as well. They decided to fly the spare aircraft empty to Salzburg rather than Zante to operate the last inbound...

BHX

That is shocking and it all has to be crew hours now as spare aircraft all over the place. Manchester has 5 aircraft (2 third party) in for over 5 hours and BHX one.

Smartwings is operating the...

TUI

You probably won't appreciate this but you are probably one of the lucky ones, Midlands meltdown is probably a bit excessive but chaotic for sure or just unlucky, I will let the reader decide.

BHX

The base is in a mess once again and I would imagine any TUI staff or Swissport staff will be having a difficult day

G-TUID - stuck in Paphos overnight - inbound on TUI-com shows on time - really....

BHX SUMMER 24

With Matt's help, August 2024 is around 800-1000 seats per week down (depends if it is a mix of the 300/325 seat 788) on August 23 but TUI could counter that by saying they have taken a significant...

[QUOTE=Matt995;11480945]Not quite certain where you are getting the information from Pete, re Enfidha on Sundays for BHX Summer 2024? Still showing that the aircraft operates on a W pattern (to BFS)...

BHX

In a word no, a small capacity cut and if Almeria is added back then it will be up slightly although have based my figures and 189 seats due laziness :) rather than the 320's showing.

What you...

Third-Party Operators

The last part of the quote is too true and often the case at BHX but also the current third-party incumbent far from guarantees that all flights will operate after another terrible week.

One...

TUI @ BHX

Totally mess and highlights the crewing issues but it seems to be resolving itself finally in respect of the Antalya and Dalaman

The 789 has left Gatwick for Antalya and hopefully will return to...

BHX & EMA

It has been an incredible couple of days. Most days there has been a spare 737 variant either all day or part of the day despite Getjet operating and flights delayed and cancelled.

The 788 Paphos...

Quote "weekly flights to Sid, Cape Verde, from Glasgow, Birmingham and East Midlands".

I assume a typo, they are not really saying BHX-SID is going to be reduced by 50% winter 23/24? BHX is twice...

Sunwing

Quoted the above as quite appropriate - BHX summer schedule seems to have changed and the Smartlynx A320 flights now appear to be 2 based Sunwing aircraft. I assume some major changes across the...

787's

Is it the norm to have nearly 40% of the fleet (5) out at one time or are there some mandatory urgent mods or checks?

Currently two in Luton, one in Amman, one in Abu Dhabi and another en route to...

Air Tanker

Should be as FR24 is already showing this tonight. Landed tonight from Brize and rumoured to be operating for a couple of weeks mainly at BHX.

seat-plan

A well known flight only booking site beginning with a G shows TUI aircraft types even to the point if it is a MAX or a B73H (can't vouch for the accuracy). It does not distinguish between the 788 or...

787's

Are you sure about that?

BHX-Cancun Friday was delayed 24 hours as no aircraft available. I assume the one at Luton and one that has been at Gatwick a while are on maintenance, it seems they have...

757

The flight was originally down as a 788 so I assume the pax load was between 189 and 221 and maybe crewing was also an issue with the 788 and 789 sitting on the ground at BHX.

The 788 arrived in...

What is the current status with the 757's as much was made that they had been withdrawn and up pops BHX-AGP tomorrow listed as a 757 positioning up from Gatwick to operate in the morning.

The...
