New Thread "The future"

My piloting is 4hrs , Auster, age 16, 1975 - so that is clear... Bitten, hooked, but physically disqualified to join your ranks. So here are my unbiased thoughts on
"Manual versus Automated".
Some...

So , anyone else care to suggest a number, because it has a bearing on crew actions. Some people are saying "how come they did not catch on in over 3 mins", well perhaps they did, lets just say you...

How much height would you need to fix it?

PNF took over at 2:13:32 + 15seconds, i.e. 41 seconds before the end and perhaps between 7000-7500 feet.

Genghis,
"these chaps were experienced and current pilots unlikely to make such an elementary error. "

Only one of them made the mistake, the other two did not know what he was doing. PF used up...

Let's step back.

Surely the point in having more than one crew member is so that the PNF can say either:
1- What the fxxx are you doing or;
2- What the fxxx is IT doing depending on whether your are requesting the...

Can you tell what the other guy is doing?

Simple question, how easy is it with the side stick to know what inputs the other guy is making?

How about moving stick, throttles and trim wheel?

Can the captain in the jump seat, even SEE that PF was giving pitch up input, not pitch down? After all, they are impulses, not stick positions?
