Selfin, good point and thanks for the clarification, makes sense as IFR can be in VMC. So it makes sense it has to be FSRI.

I think you are correct, the pre requisite for the cb IR is 40 hours of IFR time, although the IRR isnt recognised as a rating by an EASA NAA, as you say the 15.hours of instrument training you did...
