Spoke to somebody this morning who did the ool-mel flight with Rex yesterday & said was almost if not full.
She commented on the great service & how the crew were so friendly.

This deal along with some decent customer service may just be the turning point. If passengers are treated properly & the network is good the punters may just vote with their feet.

They can say 'dont worry,we have cash' but $6bn debt is exactly that $6bn debt.
Dont know if i would be comfortable investing in an airline with $6bn debt no matter how much positive spin they put...

The oldest QF 800s arrived in early to mid 2002,they were the ones destined for American but came to QF instead due to 9/11 & Ansett going under.
Dont think their reliability is worth boasting about...

200k engineers!,where is that the base pay rate for an engineer?
For an engineer who is even somewhere near the top of the pay system the base is around 50% of that.
Maybe you forget that airlines...
