Thrust lever question

On beginning the takeoff roll, the PF moves thrust levers forward and the PNF also places his hand behind them. What is this for?

Looking at London City's website, BMI operate to Frankfurt and Leeds/Bradford. I know the LBA flight uses a Dash 8 normally, but don't have any info. on the Frankfurt trip.

Airlines requesting QFE

Just for info.

The Ryanair flights into Leeds/Bradford are often given the QFE. This may be when they are performing a visual approach. Can't remember.

As I understand airways, they are typically 10 Nm wide....
