The one oop-north is in fact at Southport. To be correct it is Birkdale Sands.
It no longer exists however.

Swanton Morley

Swanton is closed to GA. Now the home of Robertson Barracks. All you'll see there are TANKS. I doubt that the hangars have any civilian use.
It is a shame that it closed to GA as before the runway...

You could try Cark, near Flookburgh, Grange over Sands. Might be OK. Contact them via North West Parachute Club? or Centre.
Google it. They operate a PAC750 off tarmac there.

TI try Headcorn.Not too far by road via Paddock Wood, Marden,Staplehurst and Headcorn Village. Say 40 mins tops.

The only BABS I know was a landing aid called (I think)
Beam Approach Beacon System. The site plan would therfore show the positioning of the ground equipment in relation to the runway.
