First step : design a component that fails somewhat regularly(every few years or so is enough).
Second step: build an aircraft around step 1, with little regard to access, common sense or guidance...

I purchased a small jar of valve grinding (lapping) compound about 15 years ago for four or five dollars, I`m still on the same one, just make sure you buy the course instead of the super fine...
