I hope the pilot has an ASIC card, photo licence and DOTARS approved visible aircraft locking device. Otherwise 20 mins of fuel and stuck on top are the least of his problems.

I never said the accurate QNH had to be from an AWIB. In country bumpkin Victoria however if you're going to get realtime QNH that's what it will be from. I have never in my time heard anyone...

My Opinion -- No.

The only valid reason for doing the CPL is if you wish to fly for reward. If you do not have that requirement, then your money would be better spent elsewhere (PIFR / tailwheel endo / aerobatics .....
