As WG13 has said, the RAF do directly or indirectly support the Army.
Perhaps it is time for a re branding of the RAF. RFC comes to mind.

There is a posibility that a Scout and Gazelle might be able to provide a static in the park, next to the Mall. We shall wait and see if they will be allowed to fly in and position for the day.

Would it not be fitting to have a Scout and Gazelle in the flypast? The Gazelle is still in service and Scout XT626 is still a military registered aircraft serving with the Army Historic Flight....

A big thank you to all the crew on the Manchester - Washington flights outbound on Sat 16 Aug back on Sat 30 Aug. Nothing was to much trouble and it was a great start and finish to a family holiday....
