Is there a bit of a shortage in ATC at the moment with the combining of functions during the night? I know a few have left recently so maybe it is related.

I wondered if it would be to cut down on required staff but thought that a tower and radar controller would still be required. I'm maybe wrong but I thought a tower controller would need to be visual...
