glad i caught this thread

i fly thru your airspace often and i have no problems at all adjusting to constraints/restrictions given by ATC. sometimes there is an airspeed restriction coupled to the V/S.

and in icing...

we fly a PW 747-400 and anything more than 320 tons will require a squeeze of the throttles upwards to avoid the square wheels effect.

and that 40% guideline as post earlier? that's our limit too...

At what rate does a 747-400 dump fuel ? (kg/second, or any other units for that sake)


i have had the misfortune to carry this out. with six (ovrrd/ jett) pumps going, the rate was 1000kg/min.
