I'm not LGW based, but i believe they only have 3 night stops at the base, EDI/GLA and JER so lots of daytrips, gatwick has more flexible hours than LHR so some flights do get back at 0200 or so...

I'm only guessing here, but I doubt there is any chance of a united base outside of the USA, unless some U.S. Pilots want to live in FRA!

Maybe you are confusing it with a German cabin crew base...

LHR, is a mix of day trips and 2/3/4/5 day tours.

Feel sorry the lads only get 24 hrs in MEL after a 14.5 hr hop. So, 29ish hours flying with 24hrs off in the middle!

I guess if the miminums weren't good enough, they wouldn't be the minimums.

i joined BA in the RHS at 21, and was expecting to be treated, as you say, like a cadet. I wasn't. 99% of the skippers have a perfect approach to command gradiant. great people to work with.
