South Apron-Supplementary parking!!

During the 1970's Dan Air B707's were regular visitors on crew training.The aircraft parked on a few occasions on the south apron..and if memory is correct was even nose in ,partially inside the Gill...

If aircraft were ever to be parked south side then thay would have to be towed north side for departrure as the samson area isn't a RZ. Can't get anything bigger than a F100/Bae 146 on Fox apron.

Good point centrefix-However the time factor element is open to question-especially with the state of NE roads and ongoing congestion ? Dont forget not everyone drives to our airports.

New airbridge for Stand 9 also comences build work late October.
