You are correct LEM in that there is no technical reason (that I could find) why you should pause at flap 1 and 25.
Our SOP calls for us to stop at 1 and 25 anyway.

Landing lights on below 100' (or as applicable at night for flight viz)
logo lights only at night and below 100'

No WOW switches...
