Sorry my earlier post was not clear. The point is that you cannot fly a G reg abroad on an FAA licence. With the FAA ticket within JAA land you can fly an aircraft within the borders of the country...

I think a hydraulic r22 would be quite nice - certainly help get students hovering earlier.

That said if the r22 was to put on a bit of weight, I think I'd rather it went into the rotor blade tips...
