There is no 'renewal' requirement for a type...

There is no 'renewal' requirement for a type rating on a Canadian licence. Are you working overseas and require to renew you instrument rating, perhaps? Then you have other options.

What you refer to as 'the lowest point on the power curve' must be refered to as 'MAXIMUM endurance speed'. Cessna's 'BEST endurance' refers to a less extreme value within the normal speed...
