Both were out of the question for me. I wanted to become an ATCO and the only viable way for me was through NATS....

If you direct the plane to turn 30 degrees then you have to imagine the plane is already flying 360 degrees right? So a 30 degree turn will be from the track the aircraft is already propelling itself...

Not unheard of to pass initial training at Global and move on to OJT at a NATS unit either ;) although you do have to be sent to Global by NATS themselves

I was told by NATS before starting at Global I was doing ADI and APS. I later found out Global don’t teach area ratings but still I knew I’d be in a tower.
