What I don't understand is why a pressurised and turbocharged aircraft was flying IFR into weather at 5,000'. It could and should have been at FL150 or more. Given the surface temperature and weather...

Well, EASA EAD 2018-0250-E back on 19 November required inspection of the duplex bearing on both 169s and 189s before they flew again. So hopefully there are no duff duplex bearings in service...

Well, EASA EAD 2018-0250-E, back on 21 November required the duplex bearing on all 169s and 189s to be inspected before they flew again.

Finding out exactly what the inspection is looking for...
