did the same this week, the scariest but most exhilirating experience ever. yes it was easier without instructor. he told me you fly 20 to 30 % better solo, i suppose because you have to with nobody...

i've just completed first solo, couldnt believe the buzz. !!!!!!ive even gained 3 inches in height. none of my work colleagues believe it can be done after only eight hours training (neither can i)....
