You should be issued with a FI Rating...

You should be issued with a FI Rating (Restricted) and then it's just a matter of validating your experience to have the restriction removed. But you can never be 100% certain with the CAA.

I don't think such a thing exists, it's either restricted or unrestricted. Just had a read of FCL.910.FI FI — Restricted privileges and there is no mention of "Unrestricted restricted FI Rating".

Can't say for certain and I don't think there's a defined too many but if they are after 1500hrs I would say about 2000hrs is where they start to think "too many".
