The local news here is full of twisted and wrong information about flightaccidents - but most agree that they were offered rwy 08 but asked for 26 - so if they really hit the llz antenna it looks...

It's just the way it is down here - atc standard is not the best! But than said, some places is ok.

What the controller tell u is, that u can selfposition for a straight in - we always ask...
