One thing about distance - a few people keep stating the 12 miles distance of BFS from Belfast but it's really only that on a map as the crow flies. The quickest way to get there is around 18 miles...

It would certainly be a bonus as an Avios redemption opportunity to connect to all of BAs LGW routes. Doubt it would be a long-term bonus to BHD though.

APD is a moot point because it's not chargeable on direct long haul flights from Northern Ireland. The UA flight to EWR is the only current qualifying flight.
