I've stayed in a great place called Chateau de Juvigny, just to the southwest of Reims. It's an easy landing site on the side of a lake. The details are in Helipaddy.

I do indeed have a helisurfaces licence, which involved sending photocopies of my log book to the French air authorities and it took two months to appear.

Interested in heli-friendly places that serve lunch. Already know about Le Touquet..but hoping to find somewhere off-airfield. Should be broadly in that NW tip.
