Cranfield was like a ghost town this week - looks like plenty of based aircraft have moved on. Sad to see. Fewer business jets around also. They do look to have had some runway work done though...

t'was hardly 'busy' when I was therebut at least there was a good variety of based aircraft.

Cranfield Airport - beginning of the end?

Seen a thread over on Fly3r entitled "Cranfield's suicide note".. Anyone know if there's truth to this stuff. As a former resident I'd be very disappointed to see the place going down the tubes. :sad:

Their office looked pretty well cleaned our apart...

The same 'gone to alderney - back next week' sign is still up.. Been up for ages now.

They've certainly not come back to Cranfield. Looks abandoned now.

All but two aircraft are gone (and those aren't flying).
Office locked up last week and at the weekend.
Now some of their signage...

Again, assumption made that they had be refuelled elsewhere as Cranfield only supply 100LL and JetA1.

Red Chillie, 'short of the 21 threshold' is either on the runway (if taking off from 03) or trying to land back on 21 with a significant tail wind, which you wouldn't normally do out of choice.....
